Hi! I’m Steve.
First and foremost: I’m a Head Teacher of a wonderful, large primary school of high challenge in Oxford, UK. I’ve been a Head Teacher since 2012 and have loved every minute.
In September 2018 I set up www.assessprogress.com to support assessment in schools based on assessment strategies that we have been using in school to improve teaching and outcomes for children.
We have 3 products:
Continuum: teacher assessment without levels
Compare: Adaptive Comparative Judgement (ACJ) with localised and national benchmarking – This has since been bought out by RM Compare. I’m currently an independent consultant for the product and run a scheme of national judgement sessions and support schools to use comparative judgement in their own formative assessments / planning for improvement and teaching.
Achieve: KS2 SATs national benchmarking based on previous SATs papers. Letting you see what your ‘mock’ SATS results look like compared to other schools.
